I just watched this TED talk by Harvey Fineberg. He talks about the mindblowing possibilities biology is offering us to manipulate our own cells and genes. Not only our own, but also those of our offspring. We can become faster, fitter, healthier. We can improve our memory, eliminate diseases. No more diabetes, cancer or alzheimer.
We can live longer. Upgrade our quality of life.

It’s tempting to jump on marketing and fun commercial jobs. It’s easy, it’s offering people those things they so quickly are convinced they need. LIVING LIKE WE DON'T
We all love the things we moan about. Lack of sleep and money, lack of lines left to write in our agendas, too many people to hang out with, too many cigarettes and coffee every day, all-nighters in the library, essay overloads, social pressure, over-estimating expectations… They make us feel alive.
At least, I do feel alive when I slowly take little pieces of me until I reach the breaking point...
